WorkLink ofrecer\u00e1 becas de formaci\u00f3n para trabajadores titulares<\/p>\n

(Clemson, S.C. \u2013 November 7, 2023) \u2013 The WorkLink Workforce Development Board is now accepting applications for the Incumbent Worker Training (IWT) program. IWT grants are currently available for businesses in Anderson, Oconee, and Pickens counties.<\/p>\n

Incumbent Worker Training grants allow employers the opportunity to upgrade the skills of their current workforce through reimbursable training services and expenses. An eligible employer must be current on all South Carolina state tax obligations, have at least one full-time employee, and document that potential trainees have an established employment history with the employer for six months or more. In addition to the formal program requirements and funding priorities, which are available online and upon request (see below), priority will be given to employers that:<\/p>\n

\u2022 pay wages of at least $15.00 per hour upon the completion of training,
\n\u2022 request funding for training which results in an industry recognized credential,
\n\u2022 provide training for full time employees that are eligible for benefits,
\n\u2022 have not been awarded funding during the prior 2 calendar years<\/p>\n

Training cost per individual will also be a consideration and all approved training must be completed by June 30, 2024.<\/p>\n

Please note that trainings provided by an employee instructor no longer qualify through the Incumbent Worker Training program.<\/p>\n

Completed applications should be emailed to Jennifer Campbell at jcampbell@worklinkweb.com.<\/p>\n

Applications must be received via email by the deadline of December 8, 2023, at 12 p.m. to be considered for the first round of awards.<\/strong> If funding is still available after the initial reviews and awards are completed, additional applications will be considered in the order they are received.<\/p>\n
