The Summer Youth Employment Program, provided through WorkLink and the American Recovery & Reinvestment Act, offers work-readiness/soft skills classes and work experience for in-school and out-of-school youth in Anderson, Oconee and Pickens Counties.
In 2009, WorkLink served 514 youth, and in 2010, 41 students in Anderson District 4 and 26 students at Hamilton Career Center participated in the in-school program. Palmetto Youth Connections managed the out-of school program in all three counties for 79 students.
At this time, WorkLink/ Palmetto Youth Connections are not sponsoring a Summer Only Youth Employment Program.
