Kevin stated that he felt with his experience and completing the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Program he would be successful. After completing the program Kevin continued his search for employment. Kevin called and advised that he felt very good about his interview with the employer on 3/4/15. Kevin called back and stated he would begin work on 3/9/15 with ZF Transmissions in Gray Court, SC. He is a Sr. Planner-Material working with the Supplier Logistics Department. Kevin stated this certificate gave him more knowledge that he needed to compete in the job market. He was able to obtain full time employment working 8am-5pm and will work some weekends, salaried position and full benefits.
Kevin noted he has sharpened his skills because he completed the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt program which will help improve his planning and logistics process to save the company money. Kevin stated the best thing gained during this time was the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certificate which would not have been possible without the WIA program.
