Attached is a flyer announcing the Business & Industry Showcase for students in Anderson, Oconee, and Pickens counties which is scheduled for September 29th & 30th.
The Showcase is designed to help the young people in our counties understand the decisions that they need to make now in order to thrive in their future careers. During this event, students have an opportunity to interact with company representatives from a wide variety of industries to learn more about the pathway they need to take to gain the skills and knowledge needed for specific career clusters.
Last year, 60 organizations representing both large and small firms made 2014 a great event. Now it is time to build on that success given the fact that workforce development is so critical for our region’s economic development success. With emphasis on career tracks within secondary education, now is the time to make our mark.
