Palmetto Youth Connections (PYC) is a community partnership administered by Eckerd Workforce Development Services that focuses on serving out-of-school youth ages 17-24 years old throughout South Carolina. The private company provides case management, counseling, training, career pathway development and employment services for out-of-school youth. PYC offers supportive services to Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Youth participants in the form of course/training costs, transportation assistance, childcare, tools, uniforms, books and monetary incentives for goal completion
Through this program, students earn a high school diploma or GED from Adult Education Centers in Anderson, Oconee and Pickens Counties or students may enter this program with a high school diploma. PYC prepares students to enter post secondary education, work based training, and provides occupational skills training to assist with career pathway development and job placement.
