Meet Carolyn Grover-
Carolyn came to the SC Works looking for financial assistance for finishing her education. After applying for the WIOA program, Carolyn received her GED and got her WorkKeys certificate while attending Anderson Adult Education.
But WIOA had additional training scholarship funds available to help Carolyn take her next step. She met with her Career Coach and looked over her options for training. Interested in the healthcare industry, she decided to pursue Patient Care Technician (PCT) training at Tri-County Technical College, where she certificates in phlebotomy, ECG, and Patient Care Technician.
Carolyn was able to obtain these credentials while also working full time at NHC as a nursing assistant. Since completing the Patient Care Technician program, Carolyn has accepted a job with AnMed as an EKG Specialist working full time.
